The award-winning, laugh-out-loud gay web TV comedy Old Dogs & New Tricks returns for a second season of 10 weekly episodes, beginning Wed., Jan. 30, 2013, at www.OldDogsNewTricksTheSeries.com.
The show, which just wrapped shooting, snared several exciting new guest stars for its sophomore year. Olympian Greg Louganis, soap stars Ian Buchanan and Terri Garber, and legendary gay actor Michael Kearns, join returning guest stars Thom Bierdz and Bruce Hart. And Noah’s Arc star Doug Spearman has joined the cast as a recurring regular.
My Gods, their casting is just fantastic. Ian is pure TV Gold. And still stunning.
I always love him with the divine Finola Hughes. She is legend as well.
Garry adores him.
I don’t ask for much. Well, actually I don’t ask for anything. So I am asking that if you can you contribute to the truly excellent ‘Old Dogs And New Tricks’. Just as much or as little as you can afford. of course, if you are ‘James wallace’ rich I think you should give a truck load of money.
I love this concept. I adore the show and Leon Accord who is the driving life force behind it. His commitment to depicting the ‘unseen’ gay man is just so important at this time when ‘age’ for some reason, and being young seems so very valued. I like seeing my age on screen. And I love the fact the characters are gay and not some fake wanna be hetero type homos adopting orphans from Vietnam. And I love the openness in this email from Leon. What a classy dude. So help if you can and you are cool.
We didn’t want to use IndieGoGo again! Your generosity and support to our earlier campaigns for Old Dogs & New Tricks were astonishing! You helped us produce our Pilot & First Season – which reached over 55,000 YouTube video views in less than 6 months!
But we couldn’t ask our friends for more. If a production company didn’t step up, that would be that.
As it happens, two did! One passed. But the second, an A-List company (you know them, trust me!) contacted us last month, expressing interest in using ODNT as their foray into web TV programming.
They’ve been meeting and talking, in true Hollywood tradition, for almost two months. Meanwhile, we want to keep the show alive; we want to keep them interested in the show, to prove it has legs, momentum, stories left to tell, and places for our characters still to go.
So we reconsidered. We come to you, one more time, for to ask for your financial support, whatever you can afford. Leon, the actors, producers and many crew are working for ‘deferred.’ As before, every dollar you give goes onto the screen, not overhead!
We’re producing 10 episodes this time! We won’t skimp on the quality you’ve come to expect. We have a few new name actors joining the cast. And we’re moving some action onto the streets of WeHo –which require a few expensive permits.
This is a contribution or donation, not an investment. Your name will be in our credits, and will give you some wonderful gifts as thanks. Please visit our IndieGoGo page [http://www.indiegogo.com/olddogsnewtricksseason2] for all the info!
Thank you so much for your continued support.
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE CHARACTERS. NEXT, I SHALL HAVE A FUND RAISER FOR ME TO GO TO L.A. AND ACT IN THE THIRD SEASON. BUT FOR NOW, PLEASE DONATE. BLESS.
