Are ‘Media7′, ‘Court Report’ And ‘The Good Word’ Enough Reason To Keep TVNZ7?
NO. In asking people about their viewing of TVNZ7, these 3 shows are the only ones mentioned as they are the only ones worth watching on the channel. I do not include ‘Backbenchers’ as I find the shouting from the floor makes the show impossible to watch, and the whole exercise is just like watching Parliament TV.
So, is TVNZ7 worth saving for these 3 shows? No. Well, that was simple. I also love the fact that some of the people who know make shows for TVNZ7 were employed by TVNZ when all the rot started setting in, and happily hastened the dumbing down of NZTV. How soon they forgot. And here is the scene from ‘Network’ that people forget that is behind the real collapse of TV.
ALSO, I FUCKING LOVE MAORI TV. THEY DO IT FOR ME WITH THE ENDLESS GOOD DOCOS, BOTH MADE HERE FOR LIMITED RESOURCES. AND THEIR EXCELLENT MOVIE SELECTION. BETTER THAN ANY FREE TO AIR CHANNEL. AND ‘SONGS FROM THE INSIDE’ WILL CHANGE TV.
Hui Kahu From ‘The Patea Maori Club’ Has Died – WATCH A GREAT ‘GOOD MORNING’ INTERVIEW WITH HER.
Hui made me cry on set of ‘Good Morning’. I had some very intense interviews about awful events, but the only time I cried on set was when Hui would not let me leave the group when they did a Karakia and Waiata for us. I cannot put into words what an amazing and spiritual experience it was to be included with them. ha, tears are rolling now. Sad news. It should be raining.
The most memorable voice of New Zealand hit song Poi-E has lost her battle with cancer.
“Nanny” Hui Kahu, 73, died this morning at her home in Hawera.
Known best for her work as the vocalist and poi soloist for the Patea Maori Club, those close to her say her death has left a cloud over Taranaki.
Discovery Channel Fires Bear Grylls.
Wow. Man vs. Wild star Bear Grylls has been canned by Discovery, according to the network.
“Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him,”
……..a network spokeswoman said via email.
Rumors abound, of course. The Hollywood Reporter says that Discovery couldn’t get Grylls to participate in two unannounced projects that were part of his contract. As the show rates well for them, (1.1 million viewers), there must be something else going on.
Grylls is not a Discovery-only phenomenon. The professional survivalist has published 11 books (the most recent, an autobiography called Mud, Sweat and Tears, will land stateside in May).
