SPOILERS – Emily Just Scored The Best Actress To Play Her Mother On’ Revenge’ Season 2.
This is fantastic news. Jennifer is such a fine actor. She has no fears and is a great asset for any TV show, as she has shown on ‘Weeds’. Cannot wait for Season 2. Such a funtastic show.
Sources confirm to TVLine that Jennifer Jason Leigh has scored the role of the Clarke family’s presumed dead matriarch. The recurring gig will kick off early into the ABC drama’s upcoming second season.
“This [character] is going to have some deep psychological issues,” Revenge creator Mike Kelley told TVLine back in May. “So we’re going to need somebody that can play volatile and dangerous; all of the scariest parts of Emily’s personality are going to be present and apparent and a little bit out of control in her mother. But at the same time, what works so great for Emily is that sweet façade, so this woman needs to feel like she’s got potential for kindness. You look at her and you don’t know that she’s as damaged as she is inside. But you’ll quickly learn that this is a very dangerous person.”

Once Upon a Time producers and cast members teased season 2 at Comic-Con this morning.
The Panel: Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla, Megan Ory, Emilie de Ravin, Adam Horowitz, and Edward Kitsiss
The Big Revelations:
+ Captain Hook is coming!
+ We will find out the identity of Henry’s father — and Jennifer Morrison knows who it is! “We talked about it early on,” she said. Kitsis’ tease? “I think Goofy is probably going to be Henry’s father,” he joked. “We gotta give Emma more credit here,” Morrison retorted.
+ We will learn the mythical identity of Dr. Whale this season.
+ There’s room for Kristin Bauer van Straten to return as Maleficent! “I didn’t see her body,” said Horowitz.
+ What DOES it mean that “Magic is coming”? “I wonder if we will find that out. I bet you we will have to watch season 2,” said Kitsis. “We don’t know if there’s anything to go back to.” Horowitz added: “Who knows if there’s anything there?”
+ The first few episodes will not disappoint. “I never could have conceived of the brilliance that is the first couple of scripts,” said Goodwin. “I can say that as an audience member it’s exactly what I’d want to see.” Added Kitsis: “The show is not going to change from the one you loved last year…we’re still going to go back and forth and meet new people along the way. “
+ We will find out what happened to Mr. Gold’s son Bae this season.
Red/Ruby Is Upped To Series Regular For Season 2 OF ‘Once Upon A Time’.
Once Upon a Time fancies itself better off Red, and as such has promoted Meghan Ory to a series regular for Season 2, our sister site Deadline reports.
On the fantastical ABC series, Ory plays Storybrooke diner waitress Ruby as well as the fairytale world’s Red Riding Hood (who harbors her own surprising alter ego).
What To Expect From Season 2 Of ‘Once Upon A Time’.
I just hope they don’t forget to move the story forward as happened so obviously in Season 1. Because there was very little story movement for quite awhile there. Still, with all the fabulous drama from the Season finale, they sure will be in a different place for Season 2….
Speaking to TV Line, Espenson reveals:
We’re picking up right where we left off, but where we left off was in the middle of a veer in a different direction. Season 2 will be different than season 1.
She also talks about plans to bring in The Little Mermaid and other Disney princesses:
I would hope Ariel would join the show. She’s one we’ve definitely talked about. [And] there are a whole lot of princesses we haven’t seen — like Aurora, Rapunzel and Jasmine. And it’s hard to look at that list without going, ‘Well, what about Goldilocks?!’ And they’d all be good, because what we do is take them and go, ‘Well, the thing you never knew about Little Miss Muffet is…’
