Davros Warns Against Civil Disobedience.

badnews.org.ru

Evil vicious man.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told investors that Russia was working toward a “new economy” built on liberal reforms and privitisation.

Speaking in St Petersburg in his first big speech since his return to the Kremlin in May. Putin warned his political opponents that civil disobedience would not be tolerated:

“I would like to stress that anyone who pretends to practise politics and considers himself a politician is obliged to express his position exclusively within the confines of the law. The thirst change for is doubtless the engine of progress, but it becomes counterproductive and even dangerous if it leads to the destruction of civil order and of the state itself.

Gays Protesting In Russia Face Huge Fines After Law Change.

euronews.com

Well, I think this was passed to also punish people protesting against the corrupt government. But will totally affect the gay protests as well.

Aside from being heralded as a grave affront to democratic freedoms in Russia, the new bill raising fines against violations during rallies has been branded by many as simply ludicrous and almost inevitably counter productive for the Putin regime. Thanks to the Washington Post for making clear just how definition-defyingly extreme this proposed change to legislation is, by a series of comparisons:

If, as expected, the bill becomes law, protesters whose rallies aren’t officially sanctioned will face fines of up to 300,000 rubles ($9,000), up from the current 2,000 ($60).

Russian Orthodox Neo-Nazis Attack Gay Rights Activists In St. Petersberg.

http://joemygod.blogspot.com/

WHILST RUSSIA OFFERS LITTLE TO NO PROTECTION FOR THE GAY CITIZENS, THE COUNTRY STILL NEEDS TO BE BOYCOTTED NOW.

Several gay rights activists have suffered injuries after being assaulted during and after a chaotic demonstration in St.Petersburg
Dozens gathered in a city center park to mark International Day Against Homophobia. City authorities had sanctioned the demonstration, and a police unit shielded participants as they chanted slogans and gave out balloons to passers-by.

A larger crowd of anti-gay protesters, some wielding Orthodox crosses, repeatedly shouted death threats, and attempted to break the cordon. Eventually, one man struggled past the police and sprayed mace at one of the demonstrators, who lay prone for several minutes until paramedics arrived.

Afraid the police would not be able to keep the peace, the activists wrapped up the event within minutes. Police escorted the participants on to buses, but the convoy had only traveled several streets when a large group of shaven-headed men sporting football and neo-Nazi attire blocked their path.
The assailants threw several smoke grenades at the buses, before rushing them. They broke the windows with rocks and clubs and climbed inside, punching and kicking the activists. Police officers intervened and the drivers managed to get away.

BOYCOTT RUSSIA – ‘Law Breaking’ Homos Continue Being Arrested In Russia.

http://lgbtweekly.com/

Enforcement of anti-gay propaganda laws continued in Russia this weekend.

Gay rights demonstrators observed the Day of Silence, which draws attention to “the silencing of discrimination and crimes against sexual minorities.” Two demonstrators were arrested in St. Petersburg.

According to The Moscow Times, “The demonstrators stood separately with their mouths sealed by bright red tape and holding signs, including one reading ‘There is no silencing of crimes against gays and lesbians.’”

This type of demonstration is technically legal as the protestors were not yelling slogans. Apparently actually speaking your beliefs is a real crime. (Let’s remember to be grateful that we have Freedom of Speech here in the US.)

Sergei Kondrashov and Igor Kochetkov were arrested by police based on their alleged “propaganda of a homosexual nature.” They’ve since been released and are due in court on Monday.

The Moscow Times notes that under the new law that came into effect in March, “anyone found guilty of promoting homosexuality among minors can be fined from 5,000 ($170) to 50,000 rubles, or up to 500,000 rubles for legal entities.”

There’s no mention of the demonstrators specifically targeting their SILENT protest at children, but it looks like the Russian government is looking for any reason to thwart the dreaded gay agenda. (Because we’re just so scary.)

’30 Rock’ To Spend Entire Episode Calling Tracy Morgan ‘Dumb Nigger’.

idontlikeyouinthatway.com

SO THE SHOW IS GOING TO ADDRESS THE TRACY MORGAN ‘WOULD KILL MY GAY CHILD’ RANT, BY SPENDING AN ENTIRE EPISODE CALLING MORGAN A DUMB NIGGER. OR THIS…..

FROM NYMAG……

During 30 Rock‘s off-season, Tracy Morgan courted controversy over the violently homophobic jokes in his stand-up routine, which led to a prolonged, carefully coordinated apology tour (one Morgan now seems a bit indifferent to). Now Huffington Post is reporting that Tina Fey has incorporated the controversy into 30 Rock‘s new season, in an episode where Morgan’s character Tracy Jordan also makes anti-gay comments. Explained openly gay newsman Thomas Roberts, who filmed a cameo for the episode: “Liz Lemon writes Tracy’s apology on the show and says he’s not a homophobe, he’s an idiot. That offends idiots, so while NBC is being picketed by the LBGT community, now it’s also being picketed by idiots led by Denise Richards. She’s the leader of the idiots.”
