Now, THIS is bloody cool. This is how to get the new generation on stage. Would so go.
In November 2011, Australian playwrights David Finnigan, Sam Burns-Warr, Georgie McAuley and Jordan Prosser travelled to the Philippines to work with the contemporary theatre group Sipat Lawin Ensemble on a month-long collaborative devising process. At the end of the workshopping and devising phase, a 177-page script was produced for the site-specific re-telling of Koushun Takami’s infamous novel (and its subsequent film spin-off), Battle Royale.
JESUS VERY FULL ON. FROM PEOPLE…….
The father of Glee actress Charice Pempengco was stabbed to death in the Philippines after a run-in with another man in a grocery store, the Associated Press reports.
Ricky Pempengco, 40, was shopping in San Pedro township when he bumped into Angel Capili, who allegedly stabbed Pembengco in the chest and back with an ice pick, said Laguna province police chief, Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz.
Capili then fled the scene, and a manhunt has since been launched, with a reward of 20,000 pesos ($470) for information leading to his arrest.
Herbert Chavez, a Superman fan from the Philippines, is so obsessed with the Man of Steel that he underwent several plastic surgery procedures just to look like his favorite superhero.
According to a video report by Bandila News’ Marie Lozano, 35-year-old Herbert Chavez has dramatically altered his appearance to look more like Superman. Unfortunately, the report is in Filipino and I’m not very good at that, but the guys at Real Self Blog translated some of it and managed to uncover that Chavez first went under the knife in 1995 and he’s had several other procedures since then. He had a chin augmentation to get Superman’s cleft, rhinoplasty to get Christopher Reeves nose, silicone injections for more plump lips and even thigh implants for a more muscular look. Examining the before and after photos, they speculate he may also have had eye surgery, cheek augmentation and jaw augmentation.
