REVIEW – ‘Outrageous Fortune’ – Season 6.
Well, I don’t think we can talk about the last episode without adressing the complete season. Losing Cheryl for most of the season killed the show. I have no idea what went down, but the writers not having her there really killed the show.
But the worst part of the last season was Wayne Judd and Pascalle West getting together. WTF were they thinking????? It made no sense for an intelligent man to end up with a character who has mainly been used for laughs for 5 seasons. But worst of all it made us dislike Cheryl, which should never have happened.
So, it all came to a head last night. Well, not really. there were only two storylines in existence….
1. Would Cheryl forgive Wayne and Pascalle……She kinda did, but acted like a child.
2. Would Van get his hot Russian Chick…….Yes, he did.
And that was it. No other character had anything to do. Grandad was living in a trailer, Jethro did nothing this season, Loretta was running a brothel, no-one else had any story to play out.
So, the show limped to an end with Cheryl having a ciggie looking out at the Auckland vista, which the show was too cheap to show us.
I think we all need to just ignore this season, or at least get answers as to why Robyn was not in the last season.
because that was not fucking choice.
It was shit.
WTF? Death Threats Over ‘The Hobbit?’ Jessica Christ.
Well, well, how bloody stupid. NZ MSM is reporting that death threats have been made against Aussie Simon Drip from the Oz Union, Actors’ Equity organiser Frances Walsh. Actresses Jennifer Ward-Lealand and Robyn Malcolm have also been abused.
Why? The fraking film is being made here now, so they must be old. This info has come from Oz though, so it seems Simon is trying to keep the story going and drum up sympathy. God, the press will print anything.
Last week they were screaming the films had to be made here AT ALL COST! Now, they are saying the cost is too high.
Not much word about the lack of rights for actors, or at least what has been lost.
Strange John Barnett speaking up on how the actors have only themselves to blame for the shit storm around them, meaning Robyn and Jennifer. He seems to have issues with actors.
Really, really want to know what went down with the Actors negotiations for seaon 6 of ‘Outrageous Fortune’. Why has Robyn just dissapeared, and was it her choice or was she being punished for something?
I feel it was her choice to do less this season, but by Goddess the show has suffered.
So, LEAVE THE ACTORS ALONE.
The films are being made here ya ignorant farming TV believing swamp scum so just pull ys heads in.
‘Outrageous Fortune’ Attacked By 74 Year Old Stupid Granny.
How stupid. Some old, stupid fuck has complained about the use of the word ‘CUNT’ on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Outrageous Fortune’. hello! Cheryl was talking about Draska Doslic, who s a total CUNT. How absurd. This is NZ, we swear like fucking paratroopers.
Think they should be OK, as the law allows language if it is in the context of the show. This was perfect and totally fitted the character. Silly complainers.
How are we all feeling about the Wayne/Pascalle storyline? Love it myself. Makes me scream.
American Version Of ‘Outrageous Fortune’ – ‘Scoundrels’ Has Terrible Ratings.
Well, not terrible, lets say….practically non-existent. And it has mainly been playing up against repeats. ABC’s original scripted series Scoundrels (0.7 rating/2 share) posted double-digit declines in the 18-49 demo from last week, 13%, hitting an all-time low. Once again first-run scripted shows were the lowest-rated for the night, with Scoundrels and Fox’s Sons of Tucson original (0.6/2) at 7 PM. CBS’ Big Brother (2.3/8) at 8PM, the only other original entertainment option on broadcast, was the top-rated program for the night, down 4% from its Sunday premiere last week. Fox won the night in adults 18-49 on the strength of its animated comedy repeats, led by back-to-back episodes of Family Guy (2.0/6, 2.1/6) at 9 PM and 9:30 PM.
