‘Once Upon A Time’ ‘Revenge’ Back For Second Seasons – No Word On ‘Happy Endings’,'Don’t Trust The Bitch In Apartment 23′.
Well, we all knew they HAD to come back, but is great to get the official word, even if ABC waited late in the year for the announcements. THEY BETTER RENEW ‘HAPPY ENDINGS’ AND ‘DON’T TRUST THE BITCH IN APPARTMENT 23′. THOSE SHOWS ROCK AND ARE A TRUCK LOAD FUNNIER AND REALER THAN ‘THE MIDDLE’ AND ‘SUBURGATORY’.
ABC renewed seven scripted series Thursday, including veteran hits Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Modern Family and The Middle.
The alphabet network also gave Season 2 orders to freshman series Once Upon a Time, Revenge and Suburgatory.
Grey’s renewal for Season 9 comes a day after the show’s key original cast members signed new two-year deals to return to the ABC medical drama.
Castle will return for its fifth season. Modern Family and The Middle are going into their fourth seasons.
The only Wednesday night comedies that have yet to be renewed are Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23.
No New ‘New Girl’ Til November.
DAMN. IS BLODDY GOOD. BEST NEW COMEDY OF THE 2011 TV SEASON EASILY.
With only three episodes airing since its September premiere, Fox has decided to pull this week’s episode of New Girl of its television schedule and put the show on a brief hiatus until the beginning of November.
Replacing Zoey Deschanel’s breakout hit will be extended episodes of The X Factor and coverage of the MLB playoffs and World Series.
Initially set on airing its fourth episode this week, entitled “Naked” (which is hilarious, by the way), Fox has cited the decision behind pulling this week’s episode was to allow The X Factor to air extended episodes, where the judges will be making the final decisions for their respective category.
Fear not, Deschanel attics, as New Girl is completely safe on Fox. Shortly after its premiere, Fox decided to order a full season of the series. And, for the most part, its ratings have been more than acceptable.
This change in schedule would appear to be a move to both help New Girl and The X Factor. With word being that the upcoming episodes of The X Factor are compelling enough to require additional airtime, Fox is looking to give their new Simon Cowell enterprise the best possible platform it can.
