The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Mathew Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor turned litigation specialist at Los Angeles’ Greenberg Traurig firm, is now representing Walken. The actor was one of the last people to see Wood, his co-star in the film Brainstorm, before she mysteriously died in 1981. Sources tell THR that Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department investigators do not consider Walken to be a suspect in the inquiry, which was officially reopened Friday.

BUT THIS FROM TMZ ABOUT WAGNER NOT BEING ABLE TO BE CHARGED ANYWAY………..

Although the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. says Robert Wagner is not a suspect, it’s pretty clear — as the last person to see Natalie Wood alive — he’s the target of the probe.

Under California law, even if Wagner accidentally pushed Natalie into the dark water … the most he could be charged with is involuntary manslaughter. But here’s the problem — there’s a statute of limitations of 3 years for that crime, so prosecutors would have had to file charges 27 years ago. Ditto voluntary manslaughter, which has a statute of limitations of 3 years.

The only crime for which anyone could be prosecuted is first degree murder, because there’s no statute of limitations. Remember, there are no possible witnesses other than Robert Wagner. Short of a bizarre confession, D.A. sources say there’s no chance of a prosecution. BTW, there’s a 6-year statute of limitations on second degree murder.

Did Robert Wagner Say ‘Leave Her There, Teach Her A Lesson’ As Natalie Wood Drowned?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk

SO…..THE COPS ARE SAYING ROBERT IS NOT A SUSPECT. AND THEN THE DAILY MAIL POSTS THIS STORY……

Natalie Wood’s sister has claimed that the actresses’ husband left her to drown on the night of her tragic death.
In an emotional interview Lana Wood said that when Natalie was in the water, Wagner, who she calls RJ, had forbidden the captain from helping her and said: ‘Leave her there, teach her a lesson’.
Speaking to TMZ, she claims Dennis Davern, captain of the Splendour yacht from which Ms Wood fell and drowned in 1981, told her what Wagner had said.
Lana told TMZ: ‘He (Dennis) said that everyone was quite drunk and that a fight broke out and that Natalie was in the water and he and RJ did nothing to pull her out.
‘He said, and this is a direct quote from what Dennis told me, ‘leave her there, teach her a lesson’.’
In her interview she also claimed that the captain told her Wagner called his attorney before he alerted the Coastguard to the incident.
The revelations come as the police confirmed today that they will reopen the investigation into the death and said they may use new DNA technology after receiving ‘credible and substantial information’.
They said, until they find evidence to say otherwise, the West Side Story actresses’ death will still be ruled as an accidental drowning.
The sheriff said at this point her husband actor Robert Wagner is not a suspect and would only say they planned to re-evaluate the evidence.

WOW. GODS, I SAID AT THE TIME THEY WERE ALL SO FUCKED UP ON PILLS, BOOZE, COKE AND ACID THEY PROBABLY HAD LITTLE MEMORY OF WHAT HAPPENED. BUT WHEN YOU CALL YOUR LAWYER FIRST THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH INNOCENCE.

UPDATE – L.A. Sheriff – Wagner Not a Suspect In Natalie Wood Murder!

deccard.blogspot.com

SO WHO THE HELL…………….WALKEN? GODS CRAZY SHIT.

The L.A. sheriff’s office said Friday that Natalie Wood’s husband, Robert Wagner, is not a suspect in her death, despite claims by the boat captain that the actor is “resposonsible” for Wood’s death. A source in the sheriff’s office said Friday they will start by interviewing Dennis Davern, who says he lied to investigators in 1981. “We didn’t take any steps to see if we could locate her” Darvin said on the Today show Friday morning, adding that Wagner intentionally kept the investigation into her death under a low profile. Wagner, Wood, and her Brainstorm co-star Christopher Walken were boating off Santa Catalina Island when she drowned, and there have been reports that there was a verbal fight on board. Los Angeles police have reopened the case based on “additional information.”

AND THIS FROM CHRISTOPHER IN 1981 PLAYBOY INTERVIEW…………
“She was probably half asleep, and she was wearing a coat,” said Walken, who was aboard the yacht owned by Wood and husband Robert Wagner at the time. “She apparently moved the boat around, slipped, hit her head, fell into the water.

“She was discovered separate from the boat: Why would she get into the boat, then get out of it and into the water? She couldn’t swim. She hit her head, went into the water, the boat floated away, she floated away,” Walken told Playboy.

The actress’ death has again moved into the spotlight as authorities announced Friday that they are reopening their 30-year-old investigation into a case.

Her death was ruled an accidental drowning, and authorities said Friday that has not changed, even though the case is being reexamined.

The Associated Press reported Friday that Walken had discussed the case on a sports talk station in Washington, but the wire service later withdrew the report, saying the radio interview was a hoax.

During the 1997 Playboy interview, Walken brushed off questions about a fight with Wagner.

“The police thoroughly investigated the whole thing, everybody was questioned. If there had been anything wrong, certainly the police would have looked into it,” Walken said.

UPDATE – The Reason Natalie Wood’s Death Case has Been Re-Opened.

pamil-visions.net

HOLY HELL. OH WOW. THE EVIDENCE SEEMS TO BE POINTING AT ROBERT WAGNER. WTF??? OH I REALLY FEEL SICK AND AM CRYING. NO COMMENT ON THE SPECULATION ……………..YET. BUT WAIT.

FROM TMZ……………

Natalie Wood’s death has been reopened as a homicide investigation, primarily because of a book written by the captain of the boat where Natalie Wood spent her last minutes … a book suggesting foul play … this according to sources close to the investigation.

We’ve learned Marti Rulli — who co-authored the book — has been in regular touch with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. over the last few months. She has given Sheriff’s investigators documents supporting material in her book, and we’re told the Sheriff is so impressed he has assigned 2 full-time homicide detectives to the case.

In the book — “Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour” — Rulli and Splendour Captain Dennis Davern write about the night Natalie drowned. They say before Natalie disappeared from the boat, she was drinking and taking Quaaludes with her husband, Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken.

According to the book, Wagner became enraged when he saw Wood and Walken speaking, and smashed a wine bottle, yelling at Walken, “What do you want to do, fuck my wife? Is that what you want?”

At that point, Walken returned to his cabin and Natalie and Robert went to their state room. According to the Captain, he heard a loud argument between the couple and thumping sounds, and eventually silence.

A short time later, the Captain went to the deck and was told by Wagner, “Natalie is missing.”

The book claims Wagner refused to let the Captain call the Coast Guard.

Wagner told the Capt. the dinghy was gone, along with Natalie, but some doubted that because she was deathly afraid of dark water.

The death was ruled an accident, but Rulli was like a pit bull since the book was written in 2008.
