E4′s superhero drama Misfits has been given an unsurprising pickup for a fourth series, likely to air in late-2012. The current third series comes to its conclusion this Sunday. Interestingly, by the time the fourth series arrives it’s possible a US remake (produced by Chuck’s Josh Schwartz) could be about to premiere, if the spec script he’s written with creator Howard Overman gets picked up next year.

According to Vulture, Britain’s own very popular TV show, Misfits, being Americanised and destroyed by Josh Schwartz, is up for a remake and full run in the US.
Those not familiar with Schwartz himself are definitely familiar with his genius series’ Gossip Girl, The O.C. and Hart of Dixie.
