Anger has erupted on Twitter,(sic), about the WOMAD on Facebook page censoring endless criticism of WOMAD having oil polluters SHELL as a major sponsor. Is a really stupid move by WOMAD, and while it may have been easy sponsorship money, alienating, and then censoring your audience is not going to encourage people to attend.

FROM THE DAD – Since this video seems to have gone crazy, I figure I’ll post this notice. I’m going to read a letter my 15 year old daughter wrote. There ARE some curse words in it. None of them are incredibly bad, but they are definitely things a little kid shouldn’t hear… not to mention things MY KID shouldn’t say!

This happened on TAM airlines.
A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man. Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.
“What’s the problem, ma?” the hostess asked her
“Can’t you see?” the lady said – “I was given a seat next to a black man. I can’t seat here next to him. You have to change my seat”- “Please, calm down, ma” – said the hostess
“Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I’m still going to check if we have any.”The hostess left and returned some minutes later.
“Madam, as I told you, there isn’t any empty seat in this class- economy class.
But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn’t any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class.”And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued
“Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class.
However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person.”And turning to the black man, the hostess said:
“Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class…”
And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet.”

Facebook’s Frictionless Apps: What You Need To Know About The Changes And Your Privacy.

On Wednesday night, Facebook introduced a new batch of frictionless apps, which the social network hopes will help you and your friends share more about what you do on a daily basis. These frictionless apps are different from regular Facebook apps in that they can automatically post on your Facebook profile whatever it is you are doing within that app, without you having to manually push a ‘Share’ button. Think about the way an app like Spotify shares every song you listen to, or how the Washington Post and Yahoo! News apps share every article you read on their sites.
Now, a whole gaggle of new apps will be able to do the same thing when you use them, posting to your wall as soon as you look up a recipe on Foodily, buy tickets on Ticketmaster, or go for a run using Nike+ (“Well,” some of you are probably thinking, “at least I’ll be safe from that one!”). After you’ve given consent to a frictionless app to share stories on your wall, the app will be able to do so whenever you use it afterward, without having to notify you.
