20th Century Fox has secured the rights to remake Guys and Dolls, and according to Deadline, are after a couple of The Backlot favorites for the leads:
At long last, 20th Century Fox has closed movie rights to Guys And Dolls, and the studio will soon start the process of developing a remake of the stage and movie classic for what Fox hopes will be a killer pairing of Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the roles made famous by Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. There is no writer or director yet, but those guys are interested.

Are they kidding? ‘MM’ was fucking terrible. There was no story, no drama, nothing of interest. And I include the stupid stripping scenes, which were paint drying dull and not sexy at all. If they must adapt films to stage, can’t they adapt half way decent film?
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the film’s leading man, Channing Tatum, said: “We are doing the Broadway version [of Magic Mike].” While Tatum won’t be reprising his role in the stage production, he didn’t completely rule it out, adding: “I don’t think anybody wants to see me sing. Give me some time to work on it and then maybe.”
In jokes upon in jokes. Looks like a smelly bomb.
21 Jump Street stars Tatum and Hill as recent police academy graduates Jenko and Schmidt: two dim-witted cops whose (sorta) youthful looks and man-child attitudes make them prime candidates to participate in a newly-resurrected program where police officers work undercover at a local high school (a reference to the original 1980s TV series starring Johnny Depp).
The program’s foul-mouthed “angry” leader, Captain Dickson (Cube), assigns the pair to take down a local synthetic drug ring which is being operated via assistance from certain high school students. Much misbehavior and wackiness ensues.
