O’Donnell is reportedly in talks to play Miss Hannigan in Broadway’s revival of “Annie.” There’s no official confirmation yet from the show’s producers, but O’Donnell added to the spectulation with her Tweet about the cancellation: “Thats show biz and i am happy to have had the chance and now to be back home in ny —— maybe broadway.”
The role has been well played by Carol Burnett and Dottie Loudon and Kathy Bates. Rosie O’Dreary has none of their talent or experience or can open a show. the producers would be better off getting Jane Lynch when she is written out of ‘Glee’.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Will Smith may have a new project for his daughter Willow: the starring role in a remake of the movie musical “Annie.”
Variety says that Smith is currently discussing the idea of the remake with Sony. Jay-Z, the rapper who helped Willow with her pop hit “Whip My Hair,” is in negotiations to collaborate on the music for the film.
Whether the film will be an updated version of the classic musical or if new music will be employed has yet to be announced.
Actor-producer Smith also developed “The Karate Kid” remake for his ‘property’, Jaden.
