Thanks Steve for publicising this important issue! As a friend of the family told me today – people cared more about a sports game (i.e. Rugy World Cup) than actual REAL issues such as this. Sadly Christie’s case is not the only one where a CRIMINAL out on bail has committed more serious CRIMES….. It has to STOP NOW!!!! Judges need to WAKE UP!!! They had the POWER to prevent this tragedy and the LAWS need to change to ensure this does not happen again. EVER.

does anyone remember…I think its at least two instances when schoolboys have been anally penetrated by foreign objects ,surrounded by taunting boys….I mean,how totally scarring would that be?and the incidents seem to be dealt with on a sub-judicial level,and dismissed as isolated instances.I would suggest this sort of awfulness happens more often than is reported,and is dealt with the way female rape was in the ’60′s and ’70′s….with just as tragic outcomes.
