DAMN, BLAST AND WHAT VERY SAD NEWS. MEET HER MANY TIMES BUT ONLY GOT TO INTERVIEW HER ONCE. WELL, ‘INTERVIEW’ IS NOT REALLY THE CORRECT WORD. IT WAS VERY MUCH CARMEN HOLDING COURT, FOR 9 MINUTES, WITH VERY OCCASIONAL PAUSES FOR BREATH, AND THEN OFF SHE WENT AGAIN. SHE WENT TOTALLY OFF TOPIC BUT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO LEAD HER WHERE SHE WAS MEANT TO GO. BUT AS THAT WAS PUSHING THE ‘BIRTHDAY PARTY TO RAISE MONEY FOR HER SCOOTER THAT NEVER HAPPENED’, I WAS HAPPY TO LET HER TELL ALL ABOUT THE DAYS OF HER CLUB AND THE CODE FOR SEX. SHE WAS WONDERFUL. I HAD FRIENDS WHO SHE REALLY HELPED IN HER WELLINGTON. PEOPLE WHO WERE GOING THROUGH REALLY ROUGH TIMES AND WERE VERY MUCH ON THE EDGES OF SOCIETY. BEING HOMELESS IN THE 60′S AND 70′S WERE NOT VERY TRENDY IN NZ IN THE 70′S. BUT CARMEN HELPED HER, AS ‘PEOPLE ON THE EDGES’ WERE HER PEOPLE. SHE GAVE A SAFE HAVEN TO YOUNG SEX WORKERS IN WELLINGTON AND AUCKLAND GOT ARRESTED SO MANY TIMES IT BECAME A JOKE. GODS, THE STORIES SHE COULD HAVE TOLD, IF SHE HAD SO WANTED. BUT SHE WAS A CLASSY BROAD, AND WAS STILL GETTING HER NANGERS OUT RIGHT UP TIL THE END. AND WHY WOULD YOU NOT. THEY WERE A GREAT PAIR OF TITS. NOW WATCH THIS FOR CONTEXT…….
