Good. I hope now the rights become available to a New Zealand theatre company.

The Auckland season of award-winning stage production War Horse has been cancelled. The show was due to run for four weeks at Aotea Centre’s ASB Theatre, but Australian company Global Creatures, which teamed with Britain’s National Theatre to bring the show to Auckland, has decided to cancel the New Zealand season, citing a “lack of commercial viability”.

‘X Factor’ Continues Losing Ratings War With Shit Talent And Crap Judges.

Seriously, the country needs help. These shows are just distractions, and bad, cheap TV. AVOID THEM PEOPLE.

In a battle of TV talent battles, MasterChef is beating X Factor when it comes to eyes on screens.

According to last night’s ratings from Nielson, One’s MasterChef managed to draw over 508,000 viewers, and X Factor, on rival network TV3, pulled in about 454,000.

Last night’s MasterChef saw the show’s toughest challenge yet with contestants asked to cook a turduckenqua – the centuries old practice of roasting a quail inside a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey.

X-Factor on the other hand, two episodes deep, had the formulaic singing contest structure down pat, wrote entertainment columnist Jule Scherer.

“Start off with somebody great, dip into the not so talented, have a couple of highlights and end with a real tear-jerker,” she wrote.

“It might be predictable, but it works – especially when there is a good back story.”

Wrapping up with a tragic tale was enough to detract from the “karaoke-gig” feel of the performance, with the judges even breaking down.

VERY COOL THAT SPEAKEASY THEATRE ARE DOING THE NZ PREMIERE OF THIS DELIGHTFUL SHOW. IF YOU GET A CHANCE, DO ATTEND. SPEAKEASY DO EXCELLENT PRODUCTIONS.

Speakeasy Theatre Ltd. in association with Backyard Theatre are happy to announce the New Zealand Premiere of the hit Off-Broadway musical Zanna, Don’t! Written by Tim Atico, Zanna, Don’t! premiered in New York in 2002. Its bubble-gum pop score was an instant hit with audiences and received great reviews.

Described as a ‘musical fairytale’ it centres around Zanna, a love fairy, whose job is to find people with ‘extra love’ and pair them with their perfect match. Guys with the guys and girls with the girls, nothing could be more perfect! That is until two rebel opposite-sex Heartsville High students create a storm of heterophobia by falling in love. It’s up to Zanna to ‘make the world safe for heterosexuals’, but what cost will he pay to create a safe world in which his friends can love in peace?

WATCH – Tom Lehrer – ‘The Vatican Rag’.

Adore Tom.

WATCH – ‘We Saw Your Junk’ – ‘We Saw Your Boobs’ Oscars 2013 Parody.

Well played.

Do remember the context some of these nude scenes happened in these films. In ‘Silkwood’, Meryl Streep was being violently scrubbed down in a shower for radiation poisoning. Hilary and Jodie were both naked for rape scenes. In context, it makes the song even grosser.
