2012 Tony Award-winning Best Actor In a Play, James Corden, has been cast as The Baker in Rob Marshall’s feature film version of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s INTO THE WOODS according to an official new casting notice that has gone out.
Corden joins Meryl Streep as The Witch and Johnny Depp as The Wolf in the new fairy tale-themed movie musical that asks “What happens after ‘happily ever after’?”
The new casting notice confirming the commitment of these actors to these three pivotal roles reads as follows: “Starring in “Into The Woods” is three-time Academy Award nominee and Disney favorite Johnny Depp, who is playing a hungry and sexy vicissitude of the fairy tale Wolf.
