O’Donnell is reportedly in talks to play Miss Hannigan in Broadway’s revival of “Annie.” There’s no official confirmation yet from the show’s producers, but O’Donnell added to the spectulation with her Tweet about the cancellation: “Thats show biz and i am happy to have had the chance and now to be back home in ny —— maybe broadway.”
The role has been well played by Carol Burnett and Dottie Loudon and Kathy Bates. Rosie O’Dreary has none of their talent or experience or can open a show. the producers would be better off getting Jane Lynch when she is written out of ‘Glee’.

The governor of Russia’s second city Saint Petersburg signed a new law against “homosexual propaganda”, in defiance of protests that it discriminates against gays, the city said Sunday.
Saint Petersburg governor Georgy Poltavchenko signed the law — which promises fines for anyone found to have spread gay propaganda among minors — after it was adopted by the local legislature.
He signed the law on March 7, the city hall said in a statement. It is a regional law that applies only to Saint Petersburg and will come into force 10 days after official publication.
Human rights groups had called on Poltavchenko to veto the law on the grounds that it appears to equate homosexuality with paedophilia and risks being used arbitrarily by the authorities to crack down on gays.
Any person found “making public actions among minors for the propaganda of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality or transgenderism” will be subject to a fine of 5,000 rubles ($170), rising to 500,000 rubles ($17,000) for organisations.
Another article states that people “making public actions for the propaganda of paedophilia” will be fined 5,000 rubles, a sum that rises to 1 million rubles ($34,000) for organisations.

A Catholic priest at a Maryland church walked out of a funeral in protest during Johnson’s eulogy for her mother, after refusing her communion, all because she is a lesbian.
Just a few minutes before the funeral began, Father Marcel Guarnizo, who was presiding over the service, apparently learned that Barbara was involved in a romantic relationship with another woman.
A lifelong Catholic and former Catholic school teacher, Barbara says she hadn’t even considered that her sexual orientation would be a problem with Father Marcel until she stepped forward to take communion.
“He said, ‘I can not give you communion because you live with a woman,’” Barbara says.
Though shaken by Father Marcel’s actions, Barbara says she tried to compose herself to give her mother the dignified funeral she deserved. So a few minutes later, Barbara began her eulogy.
“At which time Father Marcel left the altar and didn’t return until I finished my eulogy,” Barbara says.
