READ – Tin Hatter Compares The Adoomys Fantasy To Religion.
OK, so bad enough she accuses Adam of bullying for pointing out that the Adoomy fantasy is foul and a disgusting view of Adam, TJ and Sauli. But when she compares their crap with organized religion? Sorry, that is just a step into insanity too far. I believe this is the final flail and attempt to keep their crap alive. But it won’t work. As Adam gets bigger and does even more events and playing and acting without TJ, reality shows their rubbish is just rubbish. But this ‘piece of work’ below is a total shit stain nutter.

You advocate tolerance and acceptance constantly, but
you’ve contradicted yourself badly with your ill mannered recent comments on slashers and groups within your fan base.We all have opinions, but that doesn’t mean we get to pick on people.
If you start a bandwagon rolling don’t insult the people who jump on, some of them will jump right back off, and plenty of A listers have found themselves floundering around at the Z end after 1 ill considered comment. This time it will die down, but that may not always be the case. Every majority is made up of minorities, and singling out any of them for critisism and ridicule is bullying. You may not understand someones motivations, but unless they are actually hurting someone you have no right to lash out. Would you openly ridicule someone for believing in the Bible? or the Torah? You may think thats not the same thing, but to an atheist God is a delusion.
You also need to consider that there are people reading your comments who have severe self esteem problems, or other genuine mental health issues, and they may be deeply affected by your comments.
I’m not disputing your right to an opinion, but the mocking way in which you commented was unnecessary. There are better ways to express an opinion than by insulting your fans.
Fandom is essentially a complex closed society and the psychology of its members is varied and complex, the vast majority wont be hurt by what you say, but some will.
People place you on a pedestal and when you disappoint them they’ll remember that and tell potential fans that instead of spreading the word on your music.
If you cant filter yourself for the sake of your fans, do it for yourself. If there are people with real psychological issues reading your comments, its possible that the percieved insult could be the thing that tips them over into the realms of stalking, or damages their self esteem to the point of suicide.
I’m sure thats not what you intended, but you are a public figure and, whether you want them or not, there are consequences everytime you speak in public.
And Twitter is the biggest public place you could have chosen to speak in.
You’ve left a group of your fans feeling bullied and insulted because of the way they choose to escape their problems, thats not nice and it’s not right.
I’m not going to bite off my nose to spite my face, I like your music and I’ve no intention of turning it off because you had a bad day and were rude on twitter, but I do have a little less respect for you than I did yesterday, and thats the truly sad thing.
AND AN EXCELLENT AND BASED IN REALITY RESPONSE.

@realstevegray An open letter to @adamlambert from a fan who is beyond shocked at @dcsunset44 comment that he’s a bully.
Bullying is a mean spirited act. Someone goes out of their way to be vicious. The act of going out of your way to hurt someone emotionally, break their spirit, destroy their heart.
Did Adam do that? Really????
No, darling, Adam stood up to you.. and that pissed you off. How DARE, rock star Adam Lambert decided that he’s had enough! Fans made him!
Let me give you fans a newsflash: we the fans didn’t make Adam, his talent made him.
He stood up and said enough and some women got mad.
Opinion is different than bullying. Because someone doesn’t agree with you and TELLS YOU THAT doesn’t make them a bully.
What is sad is Adam never mention a twitter name, never called you and others out. The reason I know who it all is because you drew attention to yourselves.
Adam also tweeted about the crap called “fanfic” and blocked some people.
Don’t call me a prude, I write gay erotic. And what I write is more x-rated than most fanfic I’ve read. Mine is also a hell of a lot better. lol.
My suggestion to those who write fanfic about Adam, put YOUR son or daughter name instead and write about them fucking or sucking instead.
Bet that makes you ill.
Now explain to me again why you can justify writing about him and Tommmy or Sauli or whoever? Even worse, I’m amazed at the balls of women who SEND it to him.
The same group of women insisting that Sauli is a beard and Adam is really in love with Tommy.
Adam is out and proud. Why in hell would he fake a relationship?
Even worse, do you realize how disrespectful you are to Tommy as a person?
You make Tommy a commodity of Adam, not a person. As if he is so stupid, he will sit in the background and put up with Adam taking Sauli on trips, etc.
I don’t know Tommy but I really don’t see him doing that.
If you want to see a bully, go to my daughter’s fb page. She came out as a lesbian and has been bullied by a family member, her own father and her ex-bf.
Or better yet… do you really want to see a bully???
Look in the mirror.
Namaste anyway,
Rikki
It remains to be said here what Adam actually said (tweeted) that the Adommy crays found so insulting. If I remember correctly, he identified fanfic as ‘fantasizing about a delusion”. So what is so “insulting” about that ? The adommy crays KNOW that their fanfic is FICTION (I think they believe it is a simulation of reality with only the details fictional)- THAT’S WHY IT IS CALLED FANFICTION. So the problem can’t be the word “fantasizing” – then it must be the word ‘delusion” Adam has made quite clear on several previous occasions that he and Tommy are not a couple but are close friends. Anyone who then believes (as many of the cray do – that’s why they are called cray) that “Adommy is real” is indeed delusional. Why is it “insulting” to call out the truth ? It’s not. I was very surprised by the strong reactions of some of the Adommy believers. They seemed unconcerned about the content of Adam’s tweet (that Adommy is NOT in fact real) and more taken to complaining about ‘the way he said it’, how ‘insulting’ it was. The self-declared Queen of the adommy tinhatters (Laurie, ofc) wrote that Adam had “crossed a line”, evidently by making it all too clear that Adommy is a delusion. Since Laurie has proudly blocked anyone who has tried to tell her this, she must hear it directly from Adam. Yes, it makes her look foolish and stupid, but she has always looked thus to those of us grounded in reality. This is the price one pays for indulging in a fantasy and believing it and calling others “stupid” “blind and deaf” for not believing in it. Karma is a bitch pretty well sums it up. If she could see (understand) this, she might start to get well.
That response is fantastic. The original twitlonger rant is just cray and reeks of entitlement. The same person put something on Twitter about Adam having jetlag and acting like an asshole. I have little time for these fans who just want to exploit the whole situation to titillate themselves and feed their sad fantasies. Thank god that most fans are lovely and supportive and generous.
I agree – it is not Adam’s job to provide the mentally ill with therapy. In fact by setting strong boundaries for himself he is doing them a favour. (I do wish Tommy would be a bit firmer with his fans and block more regularly).
Since when Lambert is responsible for someone’s mental health? And that outregeous and immature, not to mention idiotic statement that if some of Adommy fans will become stalkers it will be Adam’s (that means victim’s) fault. If you have mental problems, go call a therapist. Last time when I checked Lambert was a singer not a psychiatrist.
When Adam tweeted/called out the middle-aged women hanging around the lobby before the Fantasy Springs concert (probably hoping desperately that they’d get to gawk at and hug Tommy), telling them to go do something, in other words: Get a Life, someone replied with this clip (a lot of similarity to obsessed Glamberts): http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x930vt_william-shatner-snl-skit-get-a-life_fun
Well, this dcsunset is admitting what we know — that the Twitter-obsessed, Adommy-obsessed so-called fans are people with “real psychological issues” who immerse themselves in ridiculous fantasies to “escape their problems.” As Adam said, it’s sad. My wish is if they aren’t willing to do anything to improve their own lives, that they would keep their nonsense behind closed Internet community sites. Twitter is public — their nonsense gives potential fans a bad impression of Adam’s fanbase, and Adam has to be exposed to their nonsense on Twitter, too. As always, it would help if Tommy would do the right thing in dealing with his groupies… or better yet, leave Adam’s backing band. Now I’m the one fantasizing!
Oh.My.God 0.0
Were people this hiveminded and stupid before the internet. They all need to step back and put this in a real-world scenario. If it were their own real friends, family or lovers that total strangers on the internet were judging, hating and creating alternate realities about, I’m sure they would react the same if not worse than Adam. He puts up with a lot of shit as does any celebrity. He seems to have a pretty thick skin when it comes to personal attacks. But when people start in on Sauli, his friends and or his family, he’s a very protective person. My hat’s off to him for biting his tongue for as long as he does. I just wish more of these people actually would ieave his fanbase and take their crap with them. Then people who up till now have been afraid to check him out do to them will listen and maybe by his music and tickets to his shows.
