Is ‘Fox’ Chasing Adam Lambert To Save ‘American Idol’ By Judging?

What the next season of American Idol will look like is anybody’s guess right now.
The latest name to be floated around at Fox as a possible new judge is—get ready for it—Idol alum Adam Lambert!
“They have been talking about Adam for over a month,” a source exclusively tells E! News. “He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”
As E! News first told you, Jennifer Lopez has no plans to return for a third time at the judges’ table.

OK, had a smoke to calm down. He does not need the foul show, which lost all credibility when he lost. But that is not even half of it and that is why I am so conflicted. figured it out. i fucking hate Rupert Murdoch’s stinking lack of a soul existence and what he has done to journalism, newspapers and TV.
Adam finally got to produce his own talent with ‘Trespassing’, and what a holy good success it is.
I don’t him to have to go back and compromise by working for that prick Lythgoepig. Although, if he does, he will own them, but he will be owned by a franchise. But he will benefit from the boost in attention. if the sudden rise in unwarrented popularity J-Ho has had. and he does have oodles of middle of the road music ready for the ‘Idol’ format.
Either way actually, I think it is win-win. ‘Idol’ could really use a current, intelligent warm host. I suppose Adam could do the next season and then tour the world with ‘Trespassing. His current appearances with Queen certainly show he can rock an arena like the greats.
In his career I think Adam has only ever made one mis-step. That was starting the tongue diving with his guitarist. The pantomime that launched an obsession with his sexuality in the media did luckily cover one of the few bad live performances from Adam……
In some fans mind it will certainly end the whole ‘Adam is a part of a band’ fantasy. He will be strongly branded as a celebrity for something adjacent to his recording career. So, do one season. And then tour ‘Trespassing’. That can work for me.

We do not know yet whether this is legitimate or not. It could be a leak to see what reaction it gets. I am also torn, but America is a tough sell for Adam and this will give them a chance to see him on a weekly basis and get to know him. So many perceptions about him. As we know, Adam is adorable, gorgeous, intelligent, and won’t sell out or compromise his judgment. It will also give him an opportunity to perform more often and get his music out!! The controversy of his becoming a judge will have more people tuning in to watch!! More people watching, the more that will fall in love with him and start listening to his music. Look what the voice has done for Adam Levine and the rest of the judges. Adam’s charm and charisma would so draw the public in as he is irresistible. I want him to sell tons of albums and for radio to play him. This might just be the vehicle that does just that!!
**Sigh** That could be possible Barb. But it can also be double-edged sword for a “new guy” trying to make it in music. Many people will say that Idol has the apron strings and that Adam didn’t have what it took to make it without them.

What I would REALLY love to see (printed as the TRUTH!) is a real offer and a real “thanks, but not right now” from Adam!
THAT would place him in a whole new light for the MANY who are not taking him seriously as an artist and think he sells out.
Just tonight, my son, his son and his son’s friend were over for dinner. First time I’ve met 18 yr old “Levi” and we were shocked when we mentioned Adam Lambert and Levi said “that dude rocks! He can really sing!” then he watched a few YouTube performances with us and was FLOORED! It takes TIME.Now he ants his new album! (He already has FYE) Not every big star becomes big overnight! Due to piss-poor management from RCA/19 lad\st time, Adam fell off most people’s radar! DMG is doing a much better job this time around. I say let the sauce simmer.
But in the end, it IS Adam’s decision to make so whatever he decides, as I said, I’ll support and love him! Thanks doll!

After MILLIONS of people have seen (and heard!) him front the ICONIC band, Queen…why in the world would he need Idol? I believe (with ALL MY HEART!) that would be a step BACKWARD. One from which he might never recover.People will say “he couldn’t make it without Idol propping him up” etc..I’ve already seen such remarks from too many assholes.
That said..it would be hard to walk away from a LUCRATIVE offer. But if he accepts, then we’ll also see many more comments about him “selling out” etc.. It IS a decision only ADAM can make. Whatever he chooses to do, can only HOPE the choice is a good one for him.I’ll love and support him, regardless of the outcome. Thanks! Love Ya Buddy!
