PROOF – Finnish Music Has Come Many Miles Since The ‘I Want To Love You Tender’ Days.

Armi Kuusela was Miss Universe in 1952.

Oh wow! He was Finland’s first ”rockstar” in the early years of 1960′s, hugely popular, later in the 1970′s he was the first to bring on a ”stageshow” with dancers and stuff (lasers too!! lol) and toured Finland with it. She was one of the most loved Miss Finland. Danny, with his career in a slow moment in the end of 1970′s, hooked up with Armi and their duo had so much success , that song must be known by ALL Finns There was a rumour they had loveaffair, and after her accidental death (alcohol), Danny (married) admitted they did, for decades. He never left his wife ( rich owner of clothes store), but when loveaffair became public she divorced him. Armi never dated anyone else. I don’t know, even when the song first came out it seemed so silly, but we loved it nevertheless, maybe because of Armi maybe not:)) This is so my youth,  takes me back. We made fun of the song but yet..hahaha good old 1970′s that is all I can say <3
