BREAKING – Tonight’s Second Preview of ‘EVITA’ is Cancelled
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Should be fine. Nothing to see here.
After a sold-out first preview performance last evening, producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders have just announced the cancellation of the second preview of the new production of EVITA.
The deluge system went off at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway) and clean up is underway. The deluge system is a large reservoir of water stored above the stage which, when released in case of fire, will flood the stage in an attempt to extinguish any flames. There was no fire at the theatre. Preview performances are expected to resume tomorrow, March 14, 2012 at 2pm. For patrons with tickets to tonight’s preview performance, please return to point-of-purchase for refund or exchange.
