It looks like he found him in 41-year-old Sean Smith (right, not to be confused with the out swimmer). Smith is also Thomas’ business partner, as the two have co-founded Sean Smith & Associates, a legal recruitment firm. From the company’s site:

Apparently, there has been a mistake; Smith and Thomas are BUSINESS partners only. Outsports have printed a correction. Unfortunately, it has already spread like wildfire on the interweb that they are an item. Wrong. To be honest, I was a little shocked when I saw the guy, because, by his own admission Gareth likes the older man i.e. 45 – 50 plus.
Agreed! Has to be a winning combination here guys; it couldn’t have been scripted better. Both Gareth Thomas and Sean Smith are rags to riches success story’s. Gareth Thomas the frontman with brains, brawn and unrivalled determination and his boyfriend a leading independent entrepreneur. Both successful in their own rights with common ground. Make us even prouder guys.
At last Gareth Thomas has a purpose again having retired from rugby! One the worlds greatest working class hero’s teaming up with the person closest in his life whom by all accounts is himself a rag to riches hero.
